Job Description:

Complete minimum required audits of closed loans for client within 24 hour turn time.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Knowledgeable of various loan products inclusive of: agency conventional, FHA and VA programs.
• Complete thorough audit using client provided checklist as guide.
• Update client and systems with review findings and saving checklist on clients shared drive.
• Create clear comments in client systems so Correspondent easily understands items required.
• Research any guideline issues using Client Guide and web.
• Communicate any questions that cannot be satisfied by the Client Guide and web to supervisor for resolution.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with Regional UW’s when directed to contact them.
• Stay apprised of ever changing processes and adapt accordingly.

Must Have

• At least 3 years of loan frontline underwriting experience in a fast paced mortgage banking environment.
• Thorough knowledge of agency conventional loans.
• FHA and VA knowledge preferred.
• Moderate computer skills required.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma.
• Or at least five years’ related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and Instant Messenger.
• Ability to work in several web applications simultaneously.
