Indecomm Releases DecisionGenius™, An Automated Decision-Making Software for Mortgage Underwriting

Edison, NJ – Monday, March 8, 2021 – Indecomm Global Services, a leading provider of automation, outsourcing, compliance services and technology for the U.S. mortgage industry, today announced the release of DecisionGenius™, a mortgage automation solution that assesses income, credit, assets, and collateral of a borrower to deliver comprehensive decision-making for mortgage loan applications.

DecisionGenius™ is the latest release in Indecomm’s mortgage automation product suite, which includes two predecessors: AuditGenius™, a quality control and risk management software, and IncomeGenius®, an automated income calculation software. These successful platforms, already in use by leading mortgage bankers processing over one million mortgage transactions provide the foundation and intelligence for the holistic DecisionGenius™ automation approach for the mortgage middle office. Users will see all the information needed to make an underwriting decision in one place, comparing application data to sourced data to investor guidelines.

For example, a loan application file is submitted to DecisionGenius™ as it is submitted to Processing. As a result, the Processor has a clear idea of which items will meet underwriting guidelines and where the focus remains. Underwriting then has a clear roadmap into what will be needed to close the loan quickly and efficiently while providing a consistent risk reducing approach. This automated triangulation delivers the following benefits:

  • Average reduction of over 60% of the time spent by underwriters in reviewing conditions, validating data and documents provided by borrowers, and/or third parties backed up by digitized data and system-driven validations.
  • Average reduction of over 50% of time spent by processors preparing the file for underwriting in verifying and validating information from 1003 against documents provided by the borrower and information sourced from third parties.
  • Average reduction of 50% of the number of times an underwriter touches a file.

“The development of DecisionGenius™ represents the natural progression of Indecomm’s mortgage automation maturity,” says Rajan Nair, CEO of Indecomm Global Services. “We combine income calculation and risk management information with data from the loan origination system and underwriting guidelines into the larger automated decision management framework. It is then triangulated to make the data easier to consume for decision-making. It is intelligent automation that is closer to human intelligence, improving our client’s middle-office processes and ultimately enhancing the borrower’s mortgage banking experience.”

With DecisionGenius™, mortgage lenders will be able to reduce risk with consistency in underwriting decisions; reduce cycle-time and underwriter touches; increase pull-through rates; and improve processor productivity. To learn more about DecisionGenius™ and how you can benefit from the automated combination of income, credit, assets, and collateral for cohesive, comprehensive decision-making, visit https://mortgage.indecomm.net/decisiongenius/ to schedule a demo.

Indecomm Client UCBI Implements BotGenius™ to Automate Middle Office Mortgage Operations

Edison, NJ – Tuesday, January 12, 2021 – United Community Bank, Inc. (NASDAQ:UCBI) and Indecomm Global Services announced the successful implementation of Indecomm’s BotGenius™ suite of middle office automation solutions, a critical tool to help ensure a positive and holistic borrower experience for United Community Bank customers. BotGenius™ is a collection of software robots pre-built to emulate human computer interaction for specific, standardized middle office tasks, processes, and workflows in the mortgage industry.

Over the past several years, the mortgage industry has made substantial progress on the automation of the front and back ends of the origination process – specifically focused on borrower online experience and loan closing. However, the bulk of the time and expense in the mortgage loan origination process is in the “middle office”, or processing and underwriting. The processing and underwriting stages of the mortgage process have the greatest impact on the borrower experience and have seen the least amount of impactful automation options.

The “middle office” also provides mortgage lenders with the biggest opportunity for gaining efficiencies, yet it is the hardest part of the mortgage loan lifecycle to automate. Indecomm’s automation solutions have been carefully designed with the entire mortgage lifecycle in mind. By employing robots, or “digital workers”, BotGenius™ mitigates inefficient processes, enhances the overall borrower experience, and increases return on investment, with an estimated 40 to 60 percent cost-savings for the processes available for automation.

“In this cyclical market, Indecomm’s mortgage automation solutions have allowed mortgage lenders to align their costs with the rise and fall of mortgage loan production volumes,” said Rajan Nair, CEO, Indecomm Global Services. “Cost-efficiencies are realized by process automation through products like BotGenius™ that allow the bots to do the repetitive and high-volume work, while employees are free to review more loans. With the high demand for processors and underwriters, lenders are constantly looking for ways to automate tasks that are currently being performed by their highly compensated employees. BotGenius™ allows mortgage lenders to effectively overcome capacity, efficiency and cost challenges in a market where volumes are expected to rise further over the next year.”

“United Community Bank is laser-focused on keeping the customer at the center of everything we do and constantly looking for ways to improve the borrower experience,” said Mike Davies, President – Mortgage Services, United Community Bank. “With an immediate improvement of 25 percent in productivity time per loan, we are excited about the successful implementation of BotGenius™ and the positive impact it can deliver to our customers and employees.”

Indecomm’s collection of out-of-the-box bots are configured for a variety of mortgage workflows, including loan set-up, processing, communications, and other middle office tasks. By automating repeatable and high volume tasks like ordering 3rd party services, combined with reviews of reports (e.g., flood, fraud, credit, appraisal, etc.), validation, and generation of disclosures and adverse action communication, BotGenius™ has the potential to automate over 70% of the tasks in the loan production process. This out-of-the-box, mortgage-industry specific robotic process automation (RPA) solution dramatically reduces implementation efforts, helps lenders realize their return on investment quickly, and enables them to scale rapidly in a capacity constrained market.

Indecomm Partners With FormFree to Introduce Business Health Check, a New Way to Qualify Self-Employed Mortgage Loan Applicants

EDISON, N.J., November 10, 2020 – Indecomm Global Services, a leading provider of automation, outsourcing and compliance services and technology for the U.S. mortgage industry, has partnered with ability-to-pay fintech FormFree® to introduce Business Health Check, an automated analysis of self-employed loan applicants’ current business income and expense streams that helps mortgage lenders make better-informed loan qualification and underwriting decisions.

When assessing the creditworthiness of self-employed loan applicants, lenders must ascertain whether borrowers’ income is stable. The financial impacts of COVID-19 on small businesses and households in the United States only underscores the importance of this assessment, which has traditionally been a manual and subjective process. With the newly released Business Health Check solution, mortgage lenders gain access to intuitive analytics, trends, inferences and red flags on self-employed borrowers’ income. Calculated using Indecomm’s IncomeGenius® and validated against business bank account information via FormFree’s AccountChek®, Business Health Check provides mortgage lenders with a uniform, document-free approach that encourages consistency while reducing risk and delivering key insights.

“Mortgage lenders must review business bank account information for self-employed borrowers who provide unaudited profit-and-loss statements,” said Rajan Nair, CEO, Indecomm Global Services. “Our new Business Health Check, powered by IncomeGenius and FormFree’s AccountChek, gives lenders confidence in their underwriting decisions by adding an up-to-date view of these borrowers’ business cash flows.”

“In these uncertain times, both borrowers and lenders are looking for assurance. Borrowers want to know what they can really afford, and lenders want a rock-solid understanding of the true risk profile of every loan they originate. Business Health Check — a powerful combination of Indecomm’s IncomeGenius and FormFree’s AccountChek — delivers that assurance,” said FormFree Founder and CEO Brent Chandler.

IncomeGenius enhances the loan origination process, reducing tax return review time by as much as 50%. It simplifies the task of calculating income by using advanced data extraction technology and offers digital transcripts to provide a complete picture of a borrower’s income. The system can read and analyze borrower income documents and calculate qualifying income associated with the mortgage loan in a consistent manner. IncomeGenius alerts users of possible red flags to allow pre-emptive intervention.

FormFree’s AccountChek provides real-time insight into borrowers’ asset, income, and employment to enable better credit decisioning and promote financial inclusion. By using augmented intelligence and over 1,000 proprietary algorithms to analyze borrower ATP, AccountChek helps lenders and borrowers skip the paper chase and reduces time to close by up to 20 days.
