Mortgage Banking Comprehensive
Our experts have developed the ultimate curriculum designed to create a solid foundation for anyone new to mortgage lending. This curriculum covers the basics of the VA home loan program. Made up of five courses that examine the requirements necessary to originate, process and underwrite a compliant VA home loan. Courses include: VA Eligibility, Closing Costs, and Funding Fee; VA Refinances; VA Appraisals; VA Underwriting; VA Forms; and a Final Exam.
National Servicing Standards Under RESPA & TILA
In January 2013, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) issued new regulations governing nine major topics of mortgage servicing to implement provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act). In addition to amending certain existing sections of RESPA and TILA, the Final Servicing Rules created new sections of these Acts. The effective date of the new servicing rules is January 10, 2014. This is a four-course curriculum on the requirements of the RESPA & TILA Servicing Final Rule. It will describe certain changes to existing rules for servicing transfer disclosures and the handling of escrow accounts as well as introduce new requirements for managing and responding to borrowers’ qualified written requests.
